Cookie Policy

Effective date: March 11, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies MotorCalc uses, why we use them, and what control you have over them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your login state — so you don't have to re-enter it on every page. MotorCalc also uses browser-based local storage for similar purposes.

2. Cookies We Use

MotorCalc uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics cookies.

These cookies are essential for MotorCalc to function. Without them, you cannot log in or use the application.

3. Stripe Cookies (Payment Pages Only)

When you navigate to a checkout or billing page powered by Stripe, Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe cookies are only active on Stripe-hosted checkout pages, not throughout MotorCalc.

4. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, MotorCalc uses browser local storage to persist UI state between sessions (such as your last active calculator tab or filter settings). This data is stored entirely in your browser and never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for motorcalc.io.

5. No Tracking or Analytics Cookies

We currently do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or any other third-party analytics or advertising service. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified, with the option to opt out where required by law.

6. How to Control Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies currently stored.
  • Delete individual cookies or all cookies.
  • Block cookies from specific sites or all sites.

Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to MotorCalc. Browser-specific instructions:
